Happy April y'all! Hopefully you survived the bried winter barrage and are looking forward to the birds returning and spring weather to warm us. Just a few notes about Camp Christopher below. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions, ideas, suggestions or just if you need someone to chat with on this journey. We are so appreciative of this Camp Chris community. You have been a huge part of our healing process and hope that we can offer this space as a small thank you for your presence in our lives.
There are still plenty of days available for camping this summer. Please feel free to share our information with any and all that may benefit from the healing power of nature at Camp Christopher. The link for reservations can be found below: https://www.campchriscotton.com/reservations
We are planning a Camp Chris Potluck/Workday for Saturday May 4 from 10:00 a.m - ???. We will put up the screened gazebo, do some cleanup of the property and maybe plant some flowers or whatever needs arise. Bring something to share for a lunch potluck! All are welcome, not just folks camping.
I was blessed to share the Camp Chris story and about loss and grief with a dear friend on his podcast. You can check it out here. https://youtu.be/HXUp2dweM-s?si=sbsZyD5gmXtfsqxe
The road and driveway into camp is not in great shape. We do have plans to get it fixed as soon as the weather, road restrictions and schedule allows. Just be aware to drive slow and get ready for a bumpy ride.
We are still looking for some firewood to be donated and/or purchased for the summer. If you or someone you know can help please let me know.
There are new cornhole games in the shed for all to use!
Reminder that Old School Lives has generously offered free showers and water fill-ups for all our campers.
That's it for now I think. Our first campers arrive in a couple of weeks! Hopefully the snow will be melted. The porta potty is ready to go...ha!
Blessings my friends,
Dave
