Camp Closed - Storm Damage

Camp Christopher friends we regret to inform you that we are closing the camp for an undetermined amount of time due to storm damage from Monday night. We have a significant number of large trees down and a quite a few trees that have been compromised from the storm. Not sure if it was straight line winds or a small tornado but it did a number on the property. Thankfully no one was camping there at the time and no structures were damage.

We want to ensure that it is safe for all to enjoy all the space there before we let campers back on site. We apologize for the inconvenience but your safety is most important to us.

After we fully assess the damage and get an estimate for cleanup we will make a plan for reopening. There may be a cleanup day planned sometime in the future but Esther and I are leaving town for the 4th of July weekend. When we return next week we will move forward with plans. Much will depend on the expense of cleanup and how much we can afford at this time as resources are limited.
